Beginning Sunday night, April 26th, the exit ramp to Lake Austin Boulevard from southbound MoPac will be temporarily closed for work related to the MoPac Express Project. The ramp will be closed for a minimum of 30 days and the closure could be extended. Travelers will be detoured.
The closure is needed for MoPac Express contractor, CH2M Hill, to reconfigure the ramp as fast as possible, with minimal impact to drivers on MoPac. The closure provides for a safer work environment and safer driving conditions in the construction zone. It will also result in a better roadway surface. The MoPac Express team is working to notify stakeholders and has deployed variable message signs in the area to notify drivers of the upcoming closure.
