HOW TO ADVOCATE FOR LIONS MUNY GOLF COURSE

City Council will be meeting later this year to consider the upcoming bond proposal for funding major capital projects in every district, including a strategic parkland acquisition funds that could be used toward the purchase of Lions Municipal Golf Course (Muny).

HOW YOU CAN HELP

To help Save Muny, let your council member know that the bond should include at least $25M for parkland acquisition for strategic purchases as they become available so that the funds can be used to purchase Lions Municipal Golf Course.  This item is separate and apart from the $45M allocated for “parkland acquisition” funds.  We need your voice!

  • Join us at City Hall
In-person testimony is the most impactful because it shows council that you are committed to Muny Golf Course and leaves a lasting impression. Council has yet to set what time they will hear testimony on the bond package, but stay tuned for details.
  • Email City Council
If you’re unable to attend the council meeting, send an email to City Council letting them know why the Muny Golf  Course is important to you, and that you want them to prioritize funding for Muny.
  • Make some phone calls; compose some tweets
Want to go the extra mile? Make a call to your council office or write to them on social media to make sure they get the message. A list of each council member’s official social media channels, and their office phone and email addresses, are linked below:
